Ten Barwon Schools come to NSW Parliament
On Tuesday students from 10 Barwon schools came to Parliament (its some kind of record) This is a real highlight of my role. The students are always excited about the visit and engaged in the day - it gives me confidence in our future leaders. The students are in leadership roles in the schools, and MP's with students attending try to make it along. We get a little time to talk informally, and after a brief introduction the students get to ask us questions - anything they want!
The questions they asked demonstrated an understanding of leadership qualities and and behaviours that was beyond their years. There were students from Warren, Coonamble, Dunedoo, Nyngan, Coonabarabran, Tullibigeal, Tottenham, Condobolin, Lake Cargelligo and Gilgandra.
If your School is interested in one of these tours, they are free but they must be booked in advance.
