Businesses urged to complete drought survey
The drought came off the farm a long time ago; I know it’s having an impact on business. That’s why I am calling on all businesses across the Barwon Electorate to take less than 10 minutes out of their day to complete the Small Business Drought Survey.
The survey will be used to gauge the effects that the drought is having on businesses from those that directly service the agriculture industry through to the businesses in the main street, the suppliers, cafes and tradies – I want to hear from everyone.
The results of the survey will be analysed and used to help us ensure that small business owners are provided with the necessary assistance so that that they can continue to operate into the future.
The more businesses that complete the survey, the stronger the information will be.
I’m continuing to push for more direct drought assistance into our communities.
My message consistently has been that more loans aren’t the answer – loans only help a small number of people.
I know what we need in our communities is cash.
I’ll keep pushing for more drought support; you can help the push by jumping online and taking the survey.
