I'm pleased to see another $1.89 million in funding awarded to organisations across the electorate under the Crown Reserves Improvement Fund.

This funding is set aside to improve community facilities like sporting ovals, racecourses and camp grounds on government owned land.

Congratulations to the teams involved in successfully obtaining this funding!

  • AFL Broken Hill Ltd – Construction of an extension to the existing roof facilities on Jubilee Oval – $71,369
  • Baradine Showground and Racecourse – Purchase and installation of a transportable public amenities block – $180,410
  • Baradine Showground and Racecourse – Upgrade to the showground barbeque facility and new safety fencing – $25,041
  • Hermidale Showground – Upgrade to resolve trip hazards and replacement of structural elements deemed defective – $30,000
  • Bourke Shire Council – Upgrade of the kitchen and purchase of industrial dishwasher at the M A Davidson Memorial Oval – $22,605
  • PCYC Broken Hill – Installation of new kitchen and purchase of new appliances – $65,080
  • Broken Hill City Council – Relocation of historic mini Penrose Park picnic train in addition to an upgrade to amenities, pathways, carpark, kiosk, playground and BBQ facilities – $876,645
  • Broken Hill Historical Society Incorporated – Upgrade of wiring, lighting and electrical outputs at the Silverton Gaol Museum – $8,540
  • Cobar Shire Council – Removal of unsafe structures on four reserves – $10,617
  • Coonabarabran Showground – Repairs and upgrade of the event cross country course – $28,096
  • Coonamble Shire Council – Purchase and installation of new solar panels, watering system, flood lighting and new security cameras at Warrena Weir Recreation – $64,497
  • Baradine Showground and Racecourse – Control of Mother of Millions weed – $13,200
  • Gilgandra Local Parks & Reserves – Treatment of African Boxthorn weed on the Crown Reserve adjoining the Castlereagh River – $2,654
